Detective Mickey Rourke is called to a late-night homicide in Queens, New York. The scene resembles a slaughterhouse. The sole victim had been torn apart. A distraught elderly neighbor informs Rourke that the victim was a serial killer – the victim? She then asks the NYPD detective to look “behind the walls” of the apartment.
What is found within sickens a shocked and petrified populace. A serial killer had killed another serial killer leading to a week of carnage with only a female psychic to lead the embattled cop toward safety, closure, and peace of mind.
“This could be the book of the year. The central character’s language is reminiscent of Raymond Chandler dialogue spoken by Humphrey Bogart.” (Ray Hoy, The Fiction Works)
