3 – Eternity Rises

From Word of Mouth productions comes the Lord Archeron Trilogy. This is a “fan” made production by a small UK company called Word of Mouth. They have a bunch of cool stuff on their website, so make sure to check it out.

This is probably one of the best audio dramas about the history of Gallifrey and the Time Lords that simply has ever been made!

“One Fine Time Lord” is the first story in the series. It tells the story of Lord Archeron, one of the greatest Time Lords of all time, and his friends Rassilon, and why he decides Gallifrey is better off destroyed. And a certain young earnest Time Lord of the house of Braxiatel!

Our second story, “Dark Times” was my personal favorite of this series. It tells the story of the brutal war the Time Lord fight against the Vampires. But, how far will Rassilon go to achieve victory? Is victory worth it at such a high cost? And, will this destroy the friendship between Rassilon and Archeron forever?

The final story is set after the destruction of the Time War. Rassilon is once again in charge, after being brought back from the dead to fight the final days of the war. The followers of the teaching of Lord Archeron make a final stand against the mad tyrant that Rassilon has become.

These are GREAT audio dramas and a must for all Doctor Who fans. I loved learning about the history of Gallifrey and how history obviously is written by the winners. Rassilon may be mad and evil, but you can understand why. I especially enjoyed this because I love the series Gallifrey.
